MAR 29 (SATURDAY) TEL AVIV - JERUSALEM
arrival at Israel's international airport, welcome and land transportation to Jerusalem, city messenger of peace and cradle of the three monotheistic religions. Overnight in Jerusalem. MAR 30 (SUNDAY) CESAREA, HAIFA, ACRE AND ROSH HANIKRA (D, C) Departure by the Coastal road, bordering the Mediterranean Sea up to Caesarea Maritima, Capital of the Roman Governors built by King Herod the Great. Visit the Roman theater, the Crusader fortress and the Aqueduct. Proceed to Haifa and Mount Carmel, panoramic view of the city, the port and the Bahai Gardens. Continuing via Nahariya to visit Rosh Hanikra, with its impressive caves designed by the marine erosion. Return via San Juan de Acre, the capital of the Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem, visit the underground city from the time of the Crusaders and Turks. MAR 31 (MONDAY) MONTE DE LOS OLIVOS – VIA DOLOROSA – SANTO SEPULCRO – EIN KAREM (D, C) Our day began visiting to the Mount of Olives to appreciate a magnificent panoramic view of the Ancient City of Jerusalem. In this mountain we will visit the Church of DominusFelvit commemorating the tears that Jesus weeps over Jerusalem and also the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus stayed during the Easter week. Leaving the mountain, we will go to the old city of Jerusalem. Entering through the famous Lion Gate, we will visit the Church of Santa Ana, traditional place of the Virgin´s born and home of an ancient basilica of the 13th century. Then we will walk along the Via Dolorosa, until the Holy Sepulchre, place of the last 4 Stations where Jesus was crucified. Leaving the old city of Jerusalem, we will continue to the picturesque and beautiful neighborhood EinKarem. In this section we will visit the Church of San Juan Bautista where we will know the crypt where he was born, and the Visitation church, where the Virgin and Elizabeth met, both pregnant. Our day ended with a short visit to the Grand Candelabra front of the parliament (Knesset) in Israel. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. APR 01 (TUESDAY) MOUNT ZION - JEWISH QUARTER -WAILLING WALL - ISRAEL MUSEUM - BETHLEHEM (D, C) After breakfast we will have a short trip and will arrive to Mount Zion up to the Tomb of King David, The Upper Room where Jesus celebrated the last dinner of the Easter. In the Monte we will also visit the Abbey of the Dormition where is located the sanctuary of the Virgin. Then we will enter to the Ancient City of Jerusalem by the Zion Gate to visit the Jewish Quarter and the ancient Roman Cardo that was part of the ancient city of Jesus. Walking through the neighborhood, we will arrive to the Wailing Wall, one of the holiest places in Judaism and part of the outer walls of the Temple of Jerusalem. After the Jewish nighbor we will continue visiting the Israel Museum where we can admire The Dead Sea Scrolls and the model of Jerusalem of how it was 2000 years ago in Jesus time. Leaving the city of Jerusalem on a half hour trip, we will reach the city of Bethlehem. In this city with a history of more than 2000 years, we will visit the Grotto of Jesus found in the Basilica of the Nativity, considered among the oldest churches in the world. Then we have an overview of the field of the shepherds. In the afternoon, visit to the famous olive wood workshop. Return to Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. APR 2 (WEDNESDAY) JERUSALEM - CHURCHES AROUND THE SEA OF GALILEE - NAZARETH (D, C) After breakfast, we have a 2.5 hour journey towards the north of Israel, up to the Sea of Galilee. Upon arriving, our first visit will be to the biblical village of Capernaum where Jesus lived for three years at the home of Peter´s mother in law. After the visit, we´ll continue to the Church of the Multiplication where we will see the old Multiplication musaico of the 5th century; we can also read the biblical story commemorating the time of multiplication. Then we´ll drive to the famous Mount of the Beatitudes where we can listen to the famous Sermon on the Mount Jesus transmitted to the Galilean and enjoy a spectacular view of the region of Galilee. Saying goodbye to the Sea of Galilee, we have a 50 minute trip towards Nazareth. In this city Jesus spent his childhood. Here we´ll visit the Church of the Annunciation where the angel Gabriel appeared to the virgin and the carpentry of Joseph. Our day will end passing through the village of Cana where we can listen about Jesus' first miracle in which he transforms the water of baptism into wine. Dinner and overnight in Nazareth APR 3 (THURSDAY) MOUNT TABOR - JORDAN RIVER (B, C) After breakfast, leaving the hotel, traveling to the famous Mount Tabor - Mount of Transfiguration, where is one of the most beautiful churches in Israel remembering Jesus' transfiguration. We will end our tour in Israel with a visit to the Jordan River, where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. Accommodation. APR 4 (FRIDAY) TIBERIADES - MADABA - MOUNT NEBO - AMMAN - DEAD SEA (D, A or C) (40 KM) Breakfast, about 7:30 am transfer to the Allenby frontier to cross to Jordan. After the frontier procedures arrival and visit the Christian town of Madaba, city of Mosaics; then deviation to visit the monastery of Mount Nebo. On the arrival at Amman e´ll mak a panoramic city tour through the Citadel, the Roman Amphitheatre and the Umayyad Palace; after the visit continuation to the Dead Sea, 400 meters below the sea level. Dinner and overnight. APR 5 (SATURDAY) DEAD SEA - PETRA (D, C) Early in the morning departure to Petra; at the arrival tour into the beautiful city of Petra, where we see the temple treasury, the Roman theater and the royal tombs; continue to Jerah an ancient city of the Decapolis, there we will see the Arch of Hadrian, the circus / hippodrome, two beautiful temples dedicated to Zeus and Artemis and the oval shaped forum. Dinner and overnight in Petra. APR 6 (SUNDAY) PETRA - SANTA CATHERINE (D, C) In the morning departure to the Arava border, after the frontier procedures continued to Saint Catherine, dinner and overnight. APR 7 (MONDAY) SANTA CATHERINE - CAIRO (B, C) Rise in the morning to Mount Sinai, where the prophet Moses received the tablets of the law (the 10 commandments) Descent, breakfast and departure to Cairo. Transfer to accommodation. APR 8 (TUESDAY) CAIRO - ASWAN (720 KMS) (B, C) In the morning visit the Egyptian Museum which contains the largest collection of Pharaonic monuments of the Ancient Egypt also visit a living room including the treasures of Tutankhamun. Visit the Citadel of Saladin, built by Salah the Din on the heights of the mountain Mokattam 1138 AD in order to defend Cairo from the Crusades. Visit the Alabaster Mosque of MuhamedAli, designed for King Mohammed Ali. Visit to Old Cairo area that meets the Hanging Church, the Church of St. Barbara, Church of Abu Serga and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Visit the Bazaar of Khan El-Khalili one of the famous and oldest bazaars in the Middle East. Return to hotel. In due time transfer to the station to take the train to Aswan. Dinner and Overnight at Train. APR 9 (WEDNESDAY) ASWAN (D, C) Reception at the train station. Visit the Granite Quarry, the Unfinished Obelisk and the Aswan Dam, also visit to a jewelry factory and essences where we can make purchases. In the afternoon Felucca ride on the Nile River (Typical boat of the region) and observing thence Aga Khan's Mausoleum, Elephantine Island and the Botanical Garden. Overnight in Cruise. APR 10 (THURSDAY) Aswan - Kom Ombo (50 KMS) - Edfu (65 KMS) (B, L, D) Navigation to KomOmbo to visit the twin temples of Sobeck and Haroeris. navigation to Edfu and overnight on the cruise. APR 11 (FRIDAY) Edfu - Esna (50 KMS) - LUXOR (50 KMS) (B, L, D) Early departure to visit the Temple of Horus, Falcon God is the best preserved through the years. There, the majestic three pyramids most imposing of Egypt: Khufu, Khafre's and Menkaure. Next to them, contemplating the passage of time, the enigmatic Sphinx that observes everything.
